Trip to Ottawa

As part of the 2023 Interdisciplinary Week, myself and other students had the opportunity to spend a day in Ottawa, visiting the Supreme Court, Parliament and the Canadian War Museum with our politics and history teachers. The trip allowed to visit the Canadian capital and expand my historical knowledge on the Second World War. Furthermore, the trip taught me about Candian politics which enriched my comprehension of my course of Introduction to Politics. Overall, it was a very enriching , as it enabled me to acquire new knowledge in politics, law and history. Our visit to the In the Supreme Court consisted of a tour of the premises and a brief presentation on the role of the Court's nine judges. During our tour of Parliament, we had the opportunity to chat with a member and attend Question Period, which runs daily from 2.15pm to 3pm. Finally, our visit to the Museum included an exhibition of tanks, as well as explanations and animations on the First and Second World Wars.
