Conference about the missions of The United Nations peacekeeping

Thanks to an invitation from one of our teacher, myself and a number of Honors students attended the General Assembly of the Canadian Association of the United Nations, held at UQAM. During the conference, topics such as peacekeeping by the Blue Helmets, human rights violation and economic development in high-risk areas were discussed. Two experts presented and explained the issues at stake, and took the time to answer a few of our questions. The conference gave us clues to understand how the United Nations reasoning worked as well as gave us historical background on issues that to this day persist.
